The Heart Behind the Food

Demarquis grew up cooking alongside his grandmother, learning family recipes that go back generations. Growing up with scoliosis meant competitive sports weren't in the cards — so instead, he channeled all of that energy into his faith, his community, and the kitchen.

The name "Soul'd Out" is a double entendre — completely dedicated, heart and soul, to God, to family, and to cooking. With over 20 years of experience, full food handling certifications, and real culinary training, Demarquis is the mind behind the entire brand. This was his vision, his dream.

Beyond the kitchen, he serves the Lee County School District and has spent over 10 years mentoring young men in the community. For Demarquis, food has always been about more than flavor — it's about bringing people together.

Kendrick B. Moore Jr.

US Army Veteran & Co-Founder

The Backbone

Staff Sergeant Kendrick B. Moore Jr. believed in his brother's vision enough to put everything behind it. A decorated 10-year United States Army veteran and Signal Support Systems Specialist, he served from Fort Jackson to Fort Gordon, deployed overseas to deter Russian aggression during the Ukraine conflict, and trained foreign armies with the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade at Fort Bragg. From joint exercises in Morocco to operations across Africa — soldiers training soldiers.

Over his career, SSG Moore earned 9 military awards and decorations including the Army Commendation Medal (3x), Army Achievement Medal (4x), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He also holds certifications in CompTIA CySA+ Cybersecurity, CCNA Cloud, CompTIA Cloud+, and CompTIA A+ — bringing both tactical discipline and technical expertise to the business side of Soul'd Out Foods.

After a decade of honorable service, he brought that military discipline home to Southwest Florida to build something lasting with his brother. Veteran-owned. Family-operated. Mission-driven.

We grow our own vegetables and ingredients. From our garden to our kitchen on wheels, every dish starts with produce we planted, nurtured, and harvested ourselves.

Combined with family recipes passed down through generations, each bite tells a story of heritage, flavor, and brotherhood. One brother brings the soul. The other brings the discipline. Together, they bring the fire.
